However, marriage and death notices from Baptist newspapers of South Carolina, 1866-1887, Issue Jan. 25, 1883, Page 121: Mrs. Jemima Brooker, died on the 21st of Dec. 1882, at her grandson's, Mr. Walter Brooker, near Blackville, aged ninety-four years. She was the wife of Rev. John Brooker, who died more than twenty years ago, fellow-laborer with Hansford Duncan and Darling Peeples, and mother of Rev. William Brooker, who died about four years ago. She was the mother of ten, five of whom, with grandchildren, great- and great-great grandchildren survive her. (Thanks to RJ for furnishing this info.)
