US Congressman, Iowa Governor. Elected to represent Iowa's 6th District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1909 to 1913. Also served as a member of the Iowa House of Representatives in 1899, Speaker of the Iowa House of Representatives from 1907 to 1908, and Governor of Iowa from 1921 to 1925.
