Long Illness Is Fatal to local Woman-Funeral Rites Monday

Mrs. Otice Eurlene Askren, 59, wife of James F. Askren, died at 12:50 o'clock this morning at the county hospital where she had been a patient since October.

Born Jan. 10, 1895, in Bartholomew county, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Myrtle VanWye Glick. Mr. and Mrs. Askew resided at 2227 Lafayette avenue. She was a member of the Christian church.

Survivors are Mr. Askren; a daughter, Mrs. Paul Penisten; a sister, Mrs. Joseph McCoy, and two grandchildren. A brother, Charle Glick, preceded her in death in 1949.

Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Hathaway funeral home, in charge of Dr. T. K. Smith. Burial will be made at Garland Brook cemetery.
