Helen V. Amick, 87, of 1935 Central, died Monday at 3:10 p.m. at Columbus Convalescent Center following a lengthy illness.
She was former owner and operator of Amick Insurance Co., which she operated after her husband's death until she retired in 1956.
Funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Jack P. Miller at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hathaway-Myers Funeral Chapel. Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church memorial fund.
Mrs. Amick was born March 5, 1897, in Bartholomew County, the daughter of Joseph C. and Ella Lackey Glick. She was the widow of Marion H. Amick Sr. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary Past Presidents and Columbus Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, Marion H. Amick Jr. of Fort Wayne; two daughters, Mary Simmons of 421 Terrace Lake Road and Jean Sipes of Globe, Ariz., 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
