CLARENCE "Denny" DENNIS BOOTH, 89, of Charleston WV went home to be with the Lord on Friday July 15, 2011 at Cedar Ridge Nursing Home after a long illness. Born November 5, 1921 he was the son of the late Clarence Eugene and Etta Dennis Booth of Centerville Wayne County WV.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Roy and Howard Booth and a sister, Leora Dawson.

Denny had a former career with Chapman Printing Company Huntington WV. Denny and his wife Lucy started their own engraving business and named it Denlu Engraving; they worked it for 20 years. Denny served in the United States Air Force during World War II as a cryptographer. He was an avid golfer and was a very prominent player. He kept himself active on the golf course.

He is survived by his wife of 69 1/2 years, Lucy Edna Booth of Charleston, and several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral service was held at 11 am Tuesday July 19, 2011 at Barlow Bonsall Funeral Home with Dr Dennis L Johnson officiating. Graveside service followed in Ridgelawn Memorial Park Huntington.
