Sallie was the daughter of Joseph Oliver Minshew and Cenia "Cenie" Reynolds. She married William A. Strength in 1916. They had 6 children. William passed away in 1938.

BURLESON - Sallie Strength Farquhar, a homemaker, died Friday at a Burleson nursing center. She was 95.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro. Burial will be in Milford Cemetery in Milford.
Mrs. Farquhar was born in Quitman, Wood County.
She had lived in Milford and Itasca before moving to Burleson.She was a member of First Baptist Church of Itasca.
Survivors: Husband, Robert Farquhar of Burleson; four sons, Sidney Strength of Bryan, Travis Strength of Burleson and James Pickett Strength and Jimmie Strength, both of Fort Worth; two daughters, Laverne Green of Fort Worth and Wilma Reed of Everman; eight stepchildren; two brothers, Raymond Wheatley and Milton Wheatley, both of Waxahachie; four sisters, Jessie Baucom of Waxahachie, Fern Combs and Elizabeth Gather, both of Dallas, and Juanita Bailey of San Antonio; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several stepgrandchildren.
