Poet. He was born in Puszta-Neyek. His father died at a young age leaving his family very poor. Michaly continued to pay his own way to continue his education. He married Laura Csajaghy in 1843. He is best known for his poems Vernasz (Blood Wedding) written in 1833, Szozat (The Appeal)written in 1836, Az Elhagyott Anya (The Abandoned Mother) written in 1837 and Az Uri Holgyhoz (The Noble Lady) written in 1841. There is a a square named after him in Budapest, on the Buda side.
