Born in Berwyn, Illinois, raised in Cicero. Served in the U.S. Army, (1994-1999) was an Airborne Military Policeman with tours in Bosnia and Korea on the DMZ. He began his career in law enforcement with the Riverside Police Department and then moved on to the Chicago Police Department in 2002, a life long dream of his. Michael was Killed in the Line of Duty on August 8th, 2004. While on patrol with his partner, their squad car was struck broadside by a Drunk Driver who ran a red light. Both Officers were ejected from their squad car, Michael died of his injuries at the scene. He left behind a wife, daughter, two sons, mother and father and two brothers.
