This was my paternal great grandfather.

He was married to Margarethe (Flaer) Eckl.

They had 8 children.

Johann Eckl
Theresia Eckl
Joseph Eckl
Karl Eckl
Kathryn (Dotsch) Eckl
Andreas (Andrew Eckel) Eckl

I have Oedmisbach, Germany as his place of birth and Tannesberg, Germany as his place of death. Neither of these towns are listed. Tannesburg, is/was a little farm town in Bavaria close to the Austrian border. The roadways around it were lined with fruit trees.

He was a farmer and also carved grist mill stones.

During World War 2, he helped his neighbors by putting false floors where they stored grain, so that the Nazi's wouldn't take all of their food.

I'm very proud to be of this heritage. Not all Germans were Nazis'.

Specifically: I have no idea where the cemetery he is buried is. I presume it is in Tannesberg, Germany.
