Cause of death Chronic gastroenteritis.
After an illness of several months Mrs. J.A. Andrews, widow of R.D. Andrews, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sylvester Henson at Monterey, Iowa.
She was born in Martin county, Indiana, July 10, 1838, and died July 31, 1917, being at her death 79 years, 21 days old. Mother Andrews came to Davis county when a little girl and located near Mark where she spent most of her life and thought it the dearest spot on earth and among the best people. She united with the Baptist Church at a very early age and was loyal to the cause and her belief until the sunset of life. She was the mother of twelve children 9 of which survive her. Those present at the time of her death were Mrs. C.W. Woodwerd of Henry, Ill., Mrs. Henry Hefner of Cincinnatti, Ia., Mrs. Robert Henderson of Miller S.D., I.M. Andrews of Moulton, Ia., L.W. Andrews of Des Moins, Ia and Mrs. Henson of Monterey. Those not present visited her recently were D.E. Andrews of Enid, Okl., Mrs. W.E. Wilkinson of Missoula, Mr. and Mrs. John Owens of St. Francis, Kansas.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. G.W. Swan of Plano, Ia., at the home. Interment was made in the Mark Cemetery
