Henry "Hank" Olson was born January 17, 1909, to Chris and Clara (Christianson) Olson on the family farm near Glenburn, North Dakota, where he was raised and educated. He assisted his father with the operation of the family farm near Glenburn in his younger years.
He married Oline Miller on February 19, 1938, at Deering, North Dakota. He was employed with Westland Oil Company at Glenburn and also worked with the company at Deering and Bottineau before becoming manager of the Farmers Union Oil Company at Souris, working there for more than 38 years. They made their home at Souris, until moving to Bottineau in 1981. They moved to Minot in 1993.
