Herman August Friederich Lade was born September 24, 1884 at Pella, Wisconsin, the oldest child of Frank and Amelia (Wolff) Lade. He came to North Dakota with his parents in 1902 and they farmed west of Ruthville. He never married.

Funeral services for Herman Lade, 85, of Minot, N.D., who died May 24 and has numerous relatives in the Fond du Lac area, were held May 27 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Minot, N.D.

Pastor Robert L. Tasler, vicar, officiated and burial was in Sunset Memory Gardens at rural Minot, N.D.

Mr. Lade was born Sept. 24, 1884, at Pella, Wis. He is survived by five brothers; Emil, August, Arthur, Reinhard and Theodore Lade, all of Minot, N.D., and four sisters, Miss Minnie Lade, Mrs. Lydia Schimmelpfennig, Mrs. Helen Genz and Mrs. Charles Genz, all of Minot, N.D.
