Margaret Alice (McIndoe) Kimmel, 89, formerly of Alverton, passed away Thursday afternoon, March 7, 2002, in Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant. Margaret was born in East Huntingdon Township on Nov. 25, 1912, a daughter of the late Matthew and Florence Wardlaw McIndoe. Margaret was retired from Frick Hospital where she worked as a nurse's aide for 15 years. She was a member of the Alverton Church of God, a graduate of East Huntingdon High School with the class of 1931, and was affiliated, years ago, with the Rebecca Lodge of Mount Pleasant. Margaret is survived by her loving and devoted family; her two sons, Carl Edward Kimmel Jr. and his wife, Mary, of South Connellsville and Matthew Thomas Kimmel and his wife, Nancy, of Berne, N.Y.; five grandchildren; four great-grandsons; a brother, William McIndoe and his wife, Thelma, of Mount Pleasant; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Kimmel on May 14, 1996; and the following brothers and sisters, John James McIndoe, Matthew McIndoe, Janet Crowe, Mary Gibbons, infant brother, Edward McIndoe and an infant twin sister, Lillian McIndoe. Family and friends will be received at the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 Spring St., Scottdale (724-887-5300/e-mail:[email protected]) today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 12 to 3 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m., in the funeral home chapel, with her pastor, the Rev. Wendell Grimm, officiating. Graveside committal services and interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery next to her late husband. Love Lasts Forever.
