PVT. WILLIAM COSGROVE
The funeral of Pvt. William ( Mickey) Cosgrove, son of Mr. and Mrs. William ( Tinney) Cosgrove was held at 8:30 a.m.Monday from the family home, 610 Bucklin street, LaSalle to St, Mary's Catholic Church, where Father.M.S. Gildea pastor celebrated a solemn requiem mass. Burial was in St. Vincents Cemetery.

Serving as deacon of the mass was Rev. E.E. McCarthy C.M. pastor of St. Patrick's Church, LaSalle, the Rev. Augustine Cima OSB. of St. Bede college was subdeacon and the Rev. Edward Farrell, Princeton, was master of ceremonies. Father Gildea preached the sermon.

Active pallbearers were Edward Omahan, John Pocivasek, Robert Cosgrove, John McCann, William Trench, and Peter Sampo.

Honorary pallbearers were Frank, Lawrence, Emmett, Edward and Arthur Cosgrove and Louis Kohr, uncles of Pvt. Cosgrove.

Taking part in the military rites were members of St. Mary's post-Catholic War Veterans, Peru Post American Legion of Foreign Wars, and the LaSalle Memorial group.
