OBITUARY :
WARREN E. "PUFF" WEAVER, 87, of 14455 Walnut Loop, Greencastle, Pa., died at 2:58 a.m. Saturday, May 8, 2010, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Sept. 13, 1922, in Washington Township, Franklin County, Pa., he was the son of the late Ira M. and Elizabeth Ann (Hoover) Weaver.
He and his beloved wife, Jane L. (Hamilton) Weaver, were married Nov. 3, 1941.
He founded Antrim Way Motors of Greencastle in 1955, which is now known as Antrim Way Honda. Puff retired from the dealership, but had always enjoyed working in the many aspects of the car business. Over the years, he built special relationships with many of his customers. The Weaver family of Puff's son Steve and grandson Greg will continue his legacy by serving customers at the Antrim Way Honda dealership.
He attended Greencastle Presbyterian Church and was a member of Harry D. Zeigler VFW Post 6319 of Greencastle. Puff served on the Board of the NADA and on the Board of Associates of the First National Bank of Greencastle (now Tower Bank).
He also was a member of the Waynesboro Elks Lodge and a former member of the Fountainhead Country Club of Hagerstown.
Puff was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II.
Surviving family in addition to his wife are a daughter, Pamela A. Knepper, Greencastle; son, Steven M. and wife, Linda K. Weaver, State Line, Pa.; grandson, Greg E. and wife, Cherie Weaver, Greencastle; and three great-grandchildren, Isabella, Christiana and Andrew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 13, at 11 a.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, with the Rev. Taylor Camerer officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110; American Heart Association, 417 A Phoenix Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201; or to Greencastle Presbyterian Church, 57 W.
