Preceded in death by two of his granddaughters: Judy Patton {murdered} and Deronna Berryman {auto accident}.
Brother Patton (as known to most) pastored the Gospel Assembly church in Houston, Texas for almost 50 years. He was in the pulpit on the Saturday night before he passed from this life. He was overseer of many churches in several states. His teachings always reflected back to his having been raised on a farm in Whitt, Texas. He loved people and he loved animals. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a way of making even the "bitter herbs" of the gospel taste sweet. We give him honor and miss him greatly. There has been a book written on his life "A Man With a Vision" -- describes him so well.

Note: The following was written by "GW" who so kindly set up this page before I knew anything about it. GW emailed me on several occasions before he also left this earth. I am forever grateful to him for the time he spent making memorials for my family members and others that I know. (Darlene, daughter)

This is GW's statement: I didn't know this person, but from the emails that I have recieved, he sounded like he was a wonderful man of God and to those he knew. I would have loved to have met him. I would also like to thank everyone who has sent emails telling me about Clyde Patton, and I can see he was a man well thought of and well loved.
