Rodney Bradford Baity, of Charleston, entered into eternal rest on the evening of June 18, while fighting fire for the City of Charleston Fire Department.

Brad was a son of James Harvey Baity and Dorothy Ann Rogers Baity.

He was a member of Charleston Baptist Church and was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran and was a Fireman with the City of Charleston Fire Department Station #19.

Brad was also a member of the International Association of Fire Fighters and International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees.

Surviving, in addition to his dear wife, Heather Sue Schaller Baity, are his two children of Charleston; his parents of Mooresville, NC; a brother, James Harvey Baity, Jr. of Statesville, NC; a sister, Sharon Ann Robertson of Mooresville, NC; his maternal grandmother, Alberta Alice Rogers of Statesville, NC.
