Rosa Adams received the Candidate's bonnet on November 1, 1878, in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, and was received into the Novitiate on May 14, 1881 at the Motherhouse in Milwaukee, at which time she was given the name M. Reingardis. Sister Reingardis professed her Perpetual (Final) Vows in the Milwaukee Motherhouse on July 25, 1892. She was a member of the last class to be accepted for Final Vows by Mother Caroline before the latter's death.

From 1879 until 1880, Rosa was missioned to St. Boniface Convent in Quincy, Illinois. Following First Profession, Sister Reingardis was sent to St. Michael, Minnesota. Three years later, in 1886, she was sent to teach at Sacred Heart, in Edson, Wisconsin. In 1888, Sister Reingardis was named local superior of Sacred Heart. In 1889 she was sent to St. Agnes, in St. Paul, as superior and teacher.

Sister Reingardis died of blood poisoning at St. Agnes Convent in St. Paul, Minnesota.
