He was born in Garešnica.
A pioneer of popular Yugoslav music from the early 1950s. Robić was nicknamed "Mr Morgen" following the success of his first international hit, "Morgen" (means: "tomorrow"), in 1959. This song was the first collaboration between Ivo Robić and Bert Kaempfert.
He was a music-teacher and played saxophone, piano, flute, clarinet & double bass.
