Actor, Singer. From 1932 to 1981 he played in 121 Danish films and in the American film "The Counterfeit Traitor" (1962). In his earlier films he was usually cast as a movie idol or an action hero, but eventually he was given opportunity to show his rich acting talent in serious parts. He appeared onstage in the modern repertoire such as "Death of a Salesman" and "The Entertainer", and also in the classic repertoire as King Claudius in "Hamlet" and as Papageno in "The Magic Flute". His most popular role was that of Removal Man Olsen in the TV comedy series "Huset på Christianshavn" (The House in Christianshavn), which ran from 1970 to 1977.
