Jacob Musser served in the Civil War in Co. I, 125th Reg't, Ohio Infantry. Further information I have received identifies Jacob as the son of John Musser and Elizabeth Shukar; he was born in old Wayne Co. Ohio in 1839. Jacob died as the result of a gun shot to the head while hunting along Mud Creek in Clinker's Woods. He had went hunting on Nov. 4; his body was found the following day by neighbors who went looking for him when he did not return home. Jacob married Delilah Meiser in Defiance Co. Ohio on Jan. 7, 1866.
