SYLVESTER EITEL
---Sylvester Eitel, son of Joseph and Lucy Robinson Eitel, was born near Ethel on February 23, 1897 and died September 27, 1954 at the Veterans Hospital in Kansas City.
---Eitels entire life, except for a time in service in World War I., and one and a half years on another farm, was spent on his farm near Ethel.
---On August 17, 1924, he was united in marriage to Miss Fay Boring. To this union was born a son, Joseph M. at present, of Kansas City.
---Eitel was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Bergmann and Mrs. Daisy Boring.
---He is survived by his son, a brother, Henry of La Plata; two sisters, Mrs. Everet (Lila) Ratliff of Brookfield and Mrs. Bert (Maude) Norfolk of Gillette, Wyoming and many nieces and nephews.
---Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Ray Barnes of Marceline, at the chapel of Bell Cemetery near Elmer.
---Pallbearers were Leonard Eitel, Mervin Eitel, Donald Eitel, Leonard Boring, Kenneth Boring and Cecil Bergmann.
---Flower bearers were Lois and Sharon Knight, Lillie Bergmann, Mrs. Otis Waddill, Mrs. Mervin Eitel and Mrs. Thomas Jones. Rev. Barnes was soloist with Mrs. W.O. Byler, accompanist.
