---He first married Clara B. Darnell Kephart, former wife of Isaiah Ellsworth "Isaac" Kephart, on December 11, 1917. Sometime before 1921 Clara divorced Jasper and later married George W. Webster.
---Jasper married his second wife Elizabeth "Lizzie" Kohlmyer on November 29, 1921 in Moberly, Randolph County, Missouri. There were no children by either marriage.
---Earlier on, while visiting his uncle William Haden (his mother's brother) in Butler Twp, South Dakota from 1897 to the Fall of 1901, he struck up a relationship with Grace Wares who lived at the farm next door with her brother and siblings.
---Grace had 2 out of wedlock children during his stay, the first one she was forced to give up for adoption, Thelma Marie, and the second one, Margaret, she kept, but was told to leave the home in the same month that Jasper was sent back to Missouri. Grace traveled south and married Henry Cavier in Wagner, SD soon after, who adopted the remaining girl, but she told no one about her first child and remained estranged from the Wares ever after.
---It was the daughter Grace gave up and who was adopted by the Chase family who brought her to Oregon, changing her name to Etta May.
---Apparently after Jasper's second wife, Elizabeth died, he married a third time. A marriage record for J.N. Conley (age 72) and Eliza Murray (age 73) has been found in Adair County, Missouri marriage records. They were married on June 15, 1948 in Adair County, MO. This must be the wife that is listed as the informant on his death certificate.
