GREAT VALLEY, NY Lester C. Andrews, 79, of Bath, NY, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at his sons home.
He was born September 11, 1928 in Wheeler, NY, the son of the late Clyde and Neva Andrews.
He served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Taylor Wine Co. He was a member of the Bath VFW Post 1470.
He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers and sisters, Marion Olmsted, Gerald Andrews, Julia Gleason and Arnold Andrews.
He is survived by his children Monica (Ernie) Sage of Randolph, NY, Barry Andrews of Great Valley, NY, and Jerry (Sandra) Andrews of Great Valley, NY; his brothers and sisters Ethelyn (Leon) Koroski of Bath, NY, Wilbur (Ethel) Andrews of Valchese, NC, Ellwood Andrews, Sr. of Norborne, MO, Florence Ferris of Bath, NY, Fran (Katie) Andrews of Kanona, NY, Augusta (Roger Sincerbox) Draper of Newport, NY, and June (Juan) Chacor of El Paso, TX; five grandchildren - Christopher Sage, Scott Andrews, Marcus Andrews, Breanne Chase and Cody Sage; one great-grandchild, Tyler Sage.
The Pallbearers will be the four grandsons, Christopher, Scott, Marcus and Cody.
Calling hours are being observed today, Friday, January 4, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bond-Davis Funeral Home of Bath, where his Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Jeffrey McDowell officiating. Military honors will be held in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Hammondsport.
