Ryan Baccus Squires, born January 29, 1981 in Santa Rosa, CA, passed away in Selah, WA on December 20, 2012.

Ryan was a medical lab technician at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital, and served in the United States Army Reserves. He graduated from Hanford High School in Richland WA class of 1999 and got his AS degree from Columbia Basin College and George Washington University.

Ryan was an avid music lover and was always excited to share his favorite bands with friends and family, who were eager for his suggestions. He frequently took his sisters to concerts, and at home he played ukulele, saxophone, and had a large collection of musical instruments from around the world. Ryan was also known for his skill with computers and never hesitated to help when you had a question, problem, or needed a suggestion. He was willing to spend hours setting up a new phone or computer, often a gift from him, for loved ones.

Ryan developed a love for photography during the two years he spent in Spain, and he spent vacations hiking in the Northwest and taking beautiful pictures of the landscape. Always witty, Ryan liked to make others laugh, and balanced his humor with a fascination for all things scientific. His hearty laugh and deep conversations will be greatly missed by his younger sisters Megan (Savely), Kiera, and Devan, and by his parents Teri Hunter and Peter Squires.

A memorial celebration of life for family and friends will be held Sunday January 20th at 5pm at 710 The Parkway, Richland.
