W. H. DeLoach, Father Of Atlanta Man, Dies
William H. DeLoach, father of A. A. DeLoach, Mill Manufacturing Company, died Wednesday in Pensacola. The body will be brought here and the funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Patterson's undertaking establishment, and the interment will be in Westview Cemetery.
Mr. DeLoach is survived by a daughter and five sons, besides A. A. DeLoach. They are H. A. DeLoach of Snapping Shoals; A. G. DeLoach of Pensacola; H. H. DeLoach of Knoxville; V. H. DeLoach of Chicago, and J. K. DeLoach of Jacksonville. He was once a resident of Atlanta and member of the DeLoach mill firm.

W. H. DeLoach, formerly of Atlanta, but who has, for several years, lived with relatives in South Georgia, died Wednesday evening at the residence of his son, A. G. DeLoach, of Pensacola, Florida.
The body was sent to Atlanta and the funeral will take place at Patterson's chapel at 3 pm this afternoon. Interment at West View.
Mr. DeLoach was the father of A. A. DeLoach, president and founder of the DeLoach Mill Magg. Company of Atlanta and is survived by him and five other sons and one daughter, Miss Julia Lee DeLoach, of Athens. The other sons are H. A. DeLoach, of Snapping Shoals, Ga, A. G. DeLoach of Pensacola, Fla, V. H. DeLoach, of Chicago, H. H. DeLoach, of Knoxville and J. K. DeLoach, of Jacksonville, Florida.
Miss DeLoach and most of the brothers will attend the funeral.
Mr. DeLoach made a brilliant record as a Confederate soldier. He was first lieutenant of the Seventh Ga. Cavalry and when his captain was killed, he took his place until captured and afterwards served as a prisoner for a year and eight days at Moorehead City and other points on the coast. He was one of the "Immortal 600, a band of prisoners who were made famous for their endurance of hardships imposed on them, a part of which was being confined in the hold of vessels for weeks and the whole time standing in several inches of water.
The DeLoach family are remarkable for the longevity of its members. For a number of years the family has not had a death and until this one there were eight brothers and sisters living, whose combined ages reached 640 years.
The father of this family, John DeLoach, died at the age of 92 and W. H. DeLoach would have been 85 on December 20.
