A private graveside service is planned Friday in Sulphur Well Church of Christ Cemetery for former Western Auto and True Value Hardware Store co-owner Ann Cantrell Kendall of Paris. Randy Stephens will officiate.
Named as pallbearers are Baker Kendall, Jason McCord, Duncan Fort III, Duncan Fort IV, Derek Jones and Cooper Samuels.
A memorial visitation is scheduled from 3-5 p.m. Friday at the Paris-Henry County Heritage Center.
McEvoy Funeral Home is in charge.
Kendall, 91, died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at Henry County Medical Center.
A Benton County native, she was born May 8, 1920, in Big Sandy, a daughter of the late Thomas Edmond Cantrell and Aliene Akers Cantrell.
She was married on July 29, 1939, to Joe Baker Kendall Sr., who died July 4, 2007.
She attended Lee and Atkins-Porter schools and graduated from Grove High School in 1937. She was a member of East Wood Church of Christ and had been a member of the Blossomway Garden Club since 1950 and the Paris Quota club since 1966.
She and her husband owned and operated Western Auto and Kendall True Value Hardware for 33 years.
She leaves one daughter: Karol Kendall (Duncan III) Fort of Nashville; one son: Baker (Dottie) Kendall of Springville; one sister: Bethel Cantrell Williams of Paris; four grandchildren: Kelly Kendall (Steve) Hoggard, Jason (Diane) McCord, Duncan (Cameron) Fort IV and Kendall Fort (Cooper) Samuels; four great-grandchildren; two nieces: Jane Williams (Richard) Davis of Nashville and Diana Cox (Tommy) Stone of Arlington, Texas.
