born at Kingswinford, Staffordshire, England the eighth child and fifth son of Elizabeth (Radcliff) and John Badley of Townsend. He did not marry and was bequeathed one fifth of his brother Edward's estate, one third of his father's personal estate and one third of his brother Anthony's personal estate.
