Mr. Bealer died Saturday, March 4, 2000, at Cottage Hospital, Galesburg.
Robert was born Sept. 5, 1930, in Rock Island, the son of Earl and Ethel Bealer. He married Irva Mae Tompkins Dec. 10, 1949, in Rock Island.
He had been an assistant manager at Eagle Foods. He then joined the Rock Island Fire Department and was a member of the Rock Island Fire Department from 1 Jun 1956 - 2 Jun 1981, retiring after 25 years. He also worked for Lerch and Thonn and WHBF.
He loved his family and the Lord, serving as deacon at Bethel and Calvary Assemblies of God. He was also an avid fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Irva; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Pat Bealer, Andalusia; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Theron Jeffery, Glen Rock, Pa., Karen and Jim McDaniel, Moline, and Dawn and David Denison, Leland, Ill.; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Leroy and Dean.
