The tide recedes but leaves behind
Bright seashells on the sand-
The sun goes down but gentle warmth
Remains upon the land;
The music stops, and yet,
It lingers on in sweet refrain-
For everything that passes
Something beautiful remains
NOTE: Underneath the poem is a picture of a toolbelt, which is very meaningful to those who knew him as he was constantly strapping his toolbelt on to help family, friends and neighbors. In memory of a son, brother, uncle and wonderful friend.
