H. P. CAMPBELL, NATIVE RANDOLPH COUNTIAN, DIES
H. P. (Ratio) Campbell, 57, life-long resident of Darksville and Moberly, died at 7 o'clock this morning at McCormick Hospital here. He had been ill 12 weeks.
Mr. Campbell is survived by his widow, the former Effie Garrett, to whom he was married May 3, 1903; a son, Ray, who is employed at Montgomery Ward Store here; and his father, Scott Campbell and a sister, Miss Hettie, both of Darksville.
His mother, the former Mary Broaddus, died 10 years ago. His father, an 83-year-old invalid, will be unable to attend the funeral.
Mr. Campbell was born June 1, 1876, at Darksville. he lived there until 10 years ago, when the family moved to Moberly. For 20 years he was employed as a driver for the Stamper Produce Company and for three years he was a watchman at the Brown Shoe Factory here.
Mr. Campbell was a member of the Darksville Baptist Church.
The body has been taken to the residence, 730 North Morley street. The funeral party will leave there at 12:45 o'clock tomorrow afternoon for Darksville, where services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Darksville Baptist Church. The Rev. E. M. Richmond of Moberly and the Rev. Mr. Snyder of Darksville will conduct the services. Burial will be at the Darksville Cemetery.
