Here lies the body of William Corneleas George, native of the Island of Jamaica. He was educated and graduated Bachelor of arts at Kings county, N.Y., and Yale college in New Haven. Unhappily perished with the cold endeavoring to cross a ferry Jan. 29, 1768. "Hark, mortals, hark what voice that sounds comes from this hollow ground. O, my friends, improve your days while vital spirits animate your clay."
