Christian Pickelhaupt, 71, of 3050 Strawberry Lane, died Wednesday in Mercy Hospital, Mr. Pickelhaupt was born May 29, 1907, in Baskakovka, Russia and moved to Port Huron in 1912. He married Helen June Lash, June 1, 1930, in Port Huron. Mr. Pickelhaupt retired in 1972 from Detroit Edison Co. after 28 years in the overhead lined department. A member of Pine Grove Lodge No. 11 F. & A.M., Mr. Pickelhaupt also was a member of the former Port Huron Township School Board and numerous township committees. He was a member of St. Paul?s Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Ann Marie) LaLonde and Mrs. Gary (Carol) Warwick, both of Port Huron; four grandchildren; a brother Charles Pickelhaupt, Port Huron, and a sister, Colorado Springs, Colo. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev. William C. Eisenmann, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Visitation at the Pollock Randall Funeral Home will be 7-9 today, 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Resource- Port Huron Times Herald, March 8, 1979
