Isaac was born April 12th, 1923 in Bialystock, Poland and passed away July 14th, 2007 in Shreveport, La. Isaac survived Auschwitz, the only member of his family to survive the Holocaust. The Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society brought him to Shreveport in December 1949. Isaac worked and built his own business, Ain Dental Laboratory, and retired after 53 years.
Isaac loved to fish, second only to spending time with his family. He was an active member of the Agudath Achim Synagogue, their Men's Club, and a regular participant in the annual Shreveport-Bossier Holocaust Memorial Commemoration.
Isaac is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Annemarie, son David, daughter Tammy and loving granddaughters, Casey Colley and Kaylin "Danielle" Ain.
Honoring Isaac as pallbearers will be Richard Dechowitz, Alan Organic, Sam King, Paul Willson, Gary Colley and Howard Ross. Honorary pallbearer will be Holocaust survivor Louis Van Thyn.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Agudath Achim Synagogue or the North Louisiana Jewish Federation.
The family would like to offer special thanks to Sarah and Julie, nurses, at Willis Knighton North CCU.
