Widow of Raymond "Bud" Greenwell

GLADYS VON ALLMEN GREENWELL, of Louisville, widow of Raymond "Bud" Greenwell, died in her 98th year at her home on February 9, 2004, of natural causes. She was a daughter of Peter and Mary Von Allmen, growing up on the Von Allmen/Simco property on Westport Rd., when it was a farming community. She retired after many years from Stewart's department store. Surviving are a loving daughter, Marguerite "Margie" Dravo Krieger and her husband, Kenneth of Bermuda Run, Advance, NC; granddaughter, Lisa Krieger and great-granddaughter, Laura of Palo Alto, GA. Survivors include her sister, Albertha Bryan and niece, Doris Simco Claiborne of Louisville, as well as nephews, Richard Simco of Charlotte, NC, David Simco of Elizabethtown, KY, Fred Bryan of Louisiana and Ron Bryan of California, as well as other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Doris Greenwell Krugel. A memorial service will be held at Resthaven Memorial Park Chapel on February 12, 2004 at 2 p.m. Memorial gifts may go to the WHAS Crusade for Children, PO Box 1100, Louisville, Ky 40202. Gladys Greenwell's family wishes to acknowledge the loving kindness and comfort the health care individuals gave her for many months, as well as the individual attention given by the professionals.
