SEEWER, NORMAN R., 70, passed away August 16, 2013 with his wife and daughter, Courtney, by his side.

He was a graduate of Shawnee High School, attended the University of Louisville and served in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves.

He was formerly employed by Cummins Cumberland, attended St. Edward Catholic Church and was a member of Woodhaven Country Club.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, golfing, sailing, Kentucky basketball and walking his beloved lab, Sydney.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Nancy Sutton Seewer; sons, Jason Seewer (Sarah), of Chicago, IL and Michael Seewer (Linda); daughters, Courtney Couch (Jeremy) and Susan Brown. He was Granddad to Riley Katherine Seewer and Tai Brady Couch. He is also survived by grandchildren, Melissa and Chelsi Seewer; sister, Shirley Miller (David); and many in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Edward Catholic Church, 9608 Sue Helen Dr., with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Highlands Family Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Kentucky Humane Society.
