Albert E. Seewer; 84, World War II Army veteran

Funeral services for Albert E. Seewer, 84, of Floyds Knobs, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26, at the Kraft Spring Street Funeral Chapel in New Albany with military honors. Burial will be in St. Mary of the Knobs Church Cemetery. He died Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, at his home in Floyds Knobs.

He was one of eight brothers, a retired farmer and lifelong resident of Floyds Knobs. He also was an Army veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lucille Seewer, in 2003; and also a brother, Alvin Seewer.

Survivors include his son, Jim Seewer and his wife, Kathy, of Floyds Knobs; grandsons, Kevin and Chad Seewer; great-grandchildren, Andrew and Ashley Seewer; and brothers, Arnold, Alfred, Herman, Harry, Oscar and Julius Seewer.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, and after 8 a.m. Monday.

Expressions of sympathy may go to the American Heart Association.
