Chloe Ann was a sweet, gentle little girl whom loved animals, dolls and "outside". Her mother, Helen Spoonamore, said "she hardly ever 'fussed' about anything". She had golden hair and big blue eyes.

At the time of her death "Clo-Ann" was 22 months. She was the youngest of four childen, Thomas Nelson "Tee" Spoonamore (6), Glenna Dawn "Dawnie" Spoonamore (5) and Phillip Dean "Phil" Spoonamore (3).

The kids were playing in an old car, parked outside the house on top of a hill, when one of the kids knocked the gearshift into neutral. The car began rolling down the hill with Clo-Ann sitting on the running board. She was so frightened she held on more tightly, despite her brothers and sister screaming for her to "jump". The car came to a rest at the bottom of the deep ravine with Clo-Ann pinned under the front right wheel. She died instantly.

Visitation was held in her home where she played just days before. Her memory haunted her parents and siblings for the rest of their lives.
