Clergy. In 964 he succeeded Aymard as the fourth abbot of Cluny. During his reign, the church Cluny II was erected. He was abducted by Andalusians of Fraxinet. After paying a ransom he was released but Guillaume I de Provence destroyed Fraxinet in the same year. He was buried at Souvigny where his gisant remains until today. His bones were burned during the revolution.
