Major League Baseball Player. He was a right handed pitcher, making his debut with the Brooklyn Dodgers on September 24, 1947. For five seasons, he played for the Brooklyn Dodgers (1947-50), Cincinnati Reds in 1951 and Chicago Cubs in 1952. He concluded his career with a record of 24 wins, 39 loss, 18 complete games, 2 shutouts, 5 saves, 240 strikeouts and a 3.83 earned run average.
