Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in Church of Christ with Cottie Tarbet officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery in Wheeler by Wright Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Carlton owned and operated Carlton Grocery and was the postmistress at the Twitty Post Office for 46 years. She was a graduate of West Texas University in Canyon.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be to Tiptons Children's Home in Tipton, Okla., or to Westview Boy's Home in Hollis, Okla.

Viola and Woody never had any children, but she adored her nephew (Gene) and his sons (Richey and Scott), as well as her poodles. Viola was very well liked in the Twitty, TX community and enjoyed operating her store, post office, and gas station for many decades.
