Gladys Merle Davis, age 89, of Italy, passed away Monday, May 11, 2009 in Ennis. She was born April 19, 1920 in Van Zandt County, Texas to Will and Minnie (Harwell) Hector. Survivors include two sons, Jerry Wayne Davis and his wife, Vada Kay of Italy and Peter Michael Davis of Huntsville; three daughters, Judith Ann Davis of Hillsboro, Donna Goodwin and her husband, Earl of Italy and Nancy Thompson of Quinlan; 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Marie Forakis and her husband, George of Grantsville, Utah and Joann Evertt of Kingsville, TX; one brother, Nelson Hector of Kleberg, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. Gladys was preceded by her husband, Pete Davis and a son, Danny Joel Davis. Interment followed at the Italy Cemetery.
