GREENVILLE — L.V. Goodwin, 92, of Italy, Texas, passed away Jan. 14, 2012.
She was born June 13, 1919, in Como. She was a homemaker and presser in the sewing industry.
Survivors include three sons, Earl Goodwin and wife Donna of Italy, Joe Goodwin and wife Dana of Royse City and Robert Goodwin and wife Nita of Greenville; a daughter, Louise Sadler of Caddo Mills; one sister, Evelyn McKown of Dallas; eight grandchildren, Robert Goodwin, Lee Goodwin, Chris Sadler, Jerry Sadler, Sherry Clotch, Toni Kirchman, Sara Malone and Makenzie Goodwin; 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee "Buffalo" Goodwin; her father, George Melvin Harris; her mother, Lillie Victoria Kirk Harris; 13 brothers and sisters and one grandson.
Services are at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Peters Funeral Home with Ronnie Dabney officiating. Interment will be at Hooker Ridge Cemetery in Rains County.
Visitation was held Monday at Peters Funeral Home.
