Abner was born the son of Benjamin Hull and Sarah Hutchinson Hull. He was the firstborn child. He had six siblings. He married Elizabeth Parker on September 02, 1795 in Lincoln County, North Carolina. They had nine children.

His grave is located in a stand of trees, along the roadside. There are field stone markers scattered about, but his and Elizabeth's are the only etched stones.

This cemetery is in danger of eventually being lost. The deadfalls and downed limbs had knocked over Elizabeth's marker, last time I visited this site.

Lincoln County Historical Society has been notified of it's endangerment. Hopefully, it will be preserved for future generations of his descendants.
