A funeral service was held at the Hillsborough Funeral Home, 796 Rt. 206, Hillsborough.
Mrs. Askew was born and raised in Paterson and moved to Hillsborough 25 years ago.
Marion worked as a receptionist for 18 years for Dr. Herman in New Providence. She was a former member of the Union Village United Methodist Church in Berkeley Heights.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Robert E. Askew; her son, John E. Askew of Westmont; her daughter, Debbie and her husband, Nicholas Trapani of Raleigh, N.C. and her four loving grandchildren, Kevin and Katie Askew and Michael and Emily Trapani.
Memorial donations may be made to Community Care Hospice, 110 West End Ave., Somerville, N.J. 08876.
