Actress. Known mainly for her comedy roles, her most famous performance came in the successful television comedy series "On the Buses," playing the role of 'Mabel Butler'. She appeared in many other television roles, including "The Avengers," "The Benny Hill Show," "The Saint," "Coronation Street" and "The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13 3/4." Her motion picture roles came in the likes of "The League of Gentlemen" (1959), "Holiday on the Buses" (1973), "Confessions of a Driving Instructor" (1976) and "Nuns on the Run" (1990).
