Private Kinder Of Albion Dies In Luxembourg
ALBION - Pvt. George Kimler, 24, of Albion, was killed in action December 22 In Luxembourg, according to a war department telegram received by his wife, Mrs. Clara Kimler. who resides with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William S. Childers, 311 West Elm.
Pvt. Kimler, the son of Mrs. Mae Kimler Ball of Farmington, former Calhoun County detention home matron, and George Kimler entered the service last May 12 and was serving in an infantry outfit.
He was born here Aug 1, 1920, and attended Albion high school. He was a former Union Steel Products Co., employee. He Is also survived by sister. Ila Kimler, Albion, and a brother. Milo Kimler of Farmington.

Memorial Service To Be Held for Soldier
ALBION - A private memorial service will be held at 2 p. m. Sunday at the Graves and King chapel for Pvt. George Kimler, Jr., 24, of Albion, reported killed in action December 22 in Luxembourg, after having gone overseas in October.
Private Kimler, an Albion resident except for the year before entering the army last May, was a former Union Steel Products Co. and Hayes Industries of Jackson employee. He resided in Homer while working at the latter plant.
He is survived by his widow. Mrs. Clara Kimler; a daughter, Sandra, 2 ½ years old; his parents, Mrs. Vern Ball of Farmington and George Kimler of Springport; a brother, Milo Kimler, Farmington, and two sisters, Mrs. Helen Morgan of Springport, and Ila of Albion.
