A Russian emigre. A maid of honor of the Tsarina. In 1914 - 1917 was a nurse at a military hospital in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. After the Russian Revolution escaped to Greece.
Arrived in Ireland around 1931 with her husband Nicholas Couriss and son Ilya. In 1946 - 1960s together with her husband ran a Russian language school in The Old Courthouse, Collon, Co. Louth.

Belonged to the Russian Orthodox Church.
