Jehu Ambrose (Dade) Goss, 72, member of an early day Lower Valley family, died about 9 p.m. Friday at the home of a brother, J.C. Goss, north of Loma.

Born February 21, 1883, at Jefferson, N.C., Mr. Goss came to Colorado in infancy with his parents. They lived briefly in Pueblo before settling as farmers in the Fruita section.

Mr. Goss and Blanche Fisher were married in 1913 at Montrose. He remarried in 1922 at Fruita. Ruby Llewellyn, his second wife, does not survive him.

Relatives are two sons, Frank Goss of California and John Goss of Price, Utah; three daughters, Mrs. Sam (Thelma) Pfaffenberger of Price, Mrs. Lamar (Reba) Hawkins of Vernal, Utah, and Mrs. Wayne (Rita) Clark of Grand Junction; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Chance Coleman of Alaska; three brothers, Robert F. Goss of Coalinga, California, J.C. Goss of Loma and Morgan Goss of Grand Junction; four sisters, Mrs. Smith (Ellen) Kilby and Mrs. Tom (Sara) Cuddy of Fruita, Mrs. William (Lu) Havens of Vernal and Mrs. Jack (Ida) Golden of Grand Junction; and 10 grandchildren.

Stark's Funeral Home will announce arrangements.
