Charles Wallace Buettner, 79, of Texarkana, Texas, died Tuesday, September 28, 1999, in a local retirement center.

Mr. Buettner was born April 11, 1920, in Livingston, Montana. He was retired co-owner of the A&W Drive-In and a Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Debbie Buettner of Sugarland, Texas, and Dr. Gary and Jan Buettner of Houston; one brother, Robert Buettner of Livingston; and two grandchildren, Kelly and Keri.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Texarkana Funeral Home Fuqua-Everett Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Stephen Coburn officiating. Burial will be in Texas National Cemetery, Houston.
